Alice Hagen

Alice Marie Hagen passed away on August 29, 2021 at the Benedictine Care Center in Ada, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Cheryl Berg officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Pallbearers will be Paul Nelson, Mark Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Danny Duenwald, Tyler Stich and Nate Stich. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harlan Anderson, Patrick Duenwald, Duane Nelson and Brian Stich.

Alice Marie Hagen was born on April 18, 1928 in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota to Frank and Ida (Eastlund) Welte. She attended school in Fosston graduating from Fosston High School in 1946. Alice was united in marriage to Glenn Hagen on October 30, 1948 in Fosston. Alice and Glenn moved to Wheaton in 1954. Glenn passed away on December 27, 2013. Alice lived at Prarieview Place in Wheaton from 2014-2016. Alice moved to the Benedictine Care Center in Ada, Minnesota in 2016.

Alice had many wonderful hobbies. She loved to sew and quilt, bake, garden, golf and play Bridge with friends. She was involved in church groups and loved family camping trips and traveling. She was a wonderful and kind soul. Her smile and warm heart would light up the room. We will miss her generosity and caring spirit.

Alice is survived by four children: Stefanie (Harlan) Anderson of Willmar, Minnesota; Patricia (Patrick) Duenwald of St. Peter, Minnesota; Ginger (Duane) Nelson of Ada, Minnesota; and Mary (Brian) Stich of Battle Lake, Minnesota; ten grandchildren: Jenny (Hugh), Kristy (Paul), Laura (Mike), Sarah (Jeff), Danny (Karley), Paul (Casi), Mark (Veronica), Jacob (Andrew), Tyler and Nate; and eleven great-grandchildren: Andrew, Owen, Isaac, Sophia, Henry, Halden, Henrik, Hazel, Tyler, Charlie, Jack and Michael

Blessed be the memory of Alice Marie Hagen.

The family of Alice Hagen would like to thank Pastor Cheryl Berg and everyone at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, the staff at the Ada Benedictine Care Center, the Red River Valley Hospice and friends for their love and support during this difficult time. She will be dearly missed. Everyone is invited to stay for lunch in the fellowship hall following the funeral service.
