Ann Theresa Paquin, 95, formerly of Herman MN died peacefully January 3, 2007, at the Regina Nursing Center in Hastings, MN. Mass of Catholic burial was held for Ann on January 8, 2007, at 1:00 PM at St. Charles Catholic Church in Herman, MN. Fr. LeRoy Schik officiated. All of Anns grandchildren acted as her pallbearers. Burial will be next to her husband Keith, at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in rural Herman. Ann was born September 10, 1911 in Belle River, MN, the daughter of Ignatius and Emma(Bernet) Forster. She grew up in Belle River and graduated from Long Prairie High School. She received her teaching degree at the Alexandria Normal School. She taught in the Long Prairie area until her marriage. She married Keith Paquin July 11, 1932. They farmed in Belle River from 1934 to 1948. She and Keith moved their family to a farm near Herman in 1948. Her family, farming, gardening and traveling were her joys. Ann was a lifelong member of St. Charles Church in Herman. Through the years she served as an officer and member of the Ladies Guild and a choir member. She especially enjoyed teaching religious education to several generations at St. Charles Church. Through the years that her children attended Herman School, she was an active member of the Herman PTA. After the children were raised she and Keith enjoyed many years of traveling the United States, Mexico, Europe, and South America. She is survived by five daughters, Arlene (Michael) Whalen, Farmington, MN, Rosemary (Lou) Moreno, Long Beach, CA, Dolores (Richard) Hartman, San Diego, CA, Lois (Ralph) Segarra, Minnetonka, MN, Carol (Stanton) Gurevitz, Park City, UT, and two sons, Dwayne, Alexandria, MN, and David (Jean), Glenwood, MN, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Frances Thorson, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith, daughter Fay and sons, Jerome, and Neil, great-grandaughter Kelsey, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. The Ann Paquin family sincerely thanks the many relatives and friends who have graciously given flowers, food, cards and memorials in memory of Ann Paquin. A special thank you also to the nursing staff of Regina Memory Care and Regina Nursing Center, Hastings, MN for their excellent attention and care to our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother during her stay.
