Anna Kellen

Funeral Service for Anna Mae Kellen, 75, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Friday, January 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Fr. Stanley Wieser officiating. Pallbearers will be Annas Grandchildren. Interment will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, rural Herman, Minnesota. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. Anna Mae Rice was born April 23, 1931 in Britton, South Dakota to Benjamin and Anna (Troxel) Rice. She graduated from Sisseton High School in 1949. Anna was united in marriage to Levern Kellen on June 2, 1949. Anna as a young mother was devoted to raising her 11 children. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the young age of 38. She continued to care for her family until 1987 when she entered the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. During her stay at the Care Center she enjoyed bird watching and activities, most of all bingo. She also very much looked forward to visiting with friends and family. The only thing Anna enjoyed more than hearing a good joke, was telling one. Anna passed away on January 2, 2007 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. Anna is survived by 8 Children: David (Marsha) Kellen of Wheaton, Nancy (Bruce) Rinke of Wheaton, Steve (Debbie) Kellen of Wheaton, Michael Kellen and special friend Nancy Parker of Perry, Georgia, Tony (Sarah) Kellen of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Janice (Chris) Braun of Markle, Indiana, Eileen (Tim) Jett of Texarcana, Texas, & Stacey (Curtis) Anderson of Hoffman, MInnesota, two sisters: Gladys (Lloyd) Welzenbach & Dorothy (Elroy) Dahlberg, three brothers: Howard (Delores) Rice, Robert & Donald Rice, 24 grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren & one step-grandson. Anna was preceded in death by two daughters: Linda & Barbara, and one son: Mark
