Arnold Volker

Arnold LeRoy Volker, age 63, of Sisseton, South Dakota passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at the Tekakwitha Nursing Center in Sisseton after a short illness. A private family funeral service was held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home in Herman, Minnesota. Arnold was born on January 28, 1949 to Willard and Sylvia (Freeman) Volker. He attended and graduated from Herman High School in 1967. He furthered his education at Alexandria Area Technical School. Arnold moved to Sisseton, South Dakota in 1970 and worked for Stavig Bros. Department Store, K & K Convenience Store and recently worked for Westside Elementary School. Arnold enjoyed gardening, reading and listening to little people play. Arnold is survived by his mother Sylvia of Herman, Minnesota, brothers: Willis (Roberta) Volker of Herman, Minnesota and Alan (friend Helen) Volker of Hoffman, Minnesota; and one sister Marsha Kellen of Wheaton, Minnesota. Arnold is also survived by nieces and nephews: Ryan (Tanya) Kellen and their children Jadyn and Avery of Norcross, Minnesota; Kami (Scott) Matteson and their children Bree, Braxton and Sage of Mankato, Minnesota; Matthew (Kersten) Volker and their children Allissa, Haley and Logan of Herman, Minnesota; Christopher (Kristina) Volker and their children Patrick and Abigail of Chokio, Minnesota; Rachel (Josh) Winthers and their children Jacob and Chloe of Marshall, Minnesota; and Brock Volker and his son Isaac of Hoffman, Minnesota. Arnold was preceded in death by his father Willard Volker.
