Arthur Larson

Funeral Service for Arthur Larson, 95, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Thomas Olson officiating. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Monday one hour prior to service time at the church. The Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home of Wheaton, Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Art was born June 15, 1916 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His family moved to a farm in Traverse County when he was young. Art was united in marriage to Lois Marten on February 15, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Art and Lois farmed north of Wheaton until they purchased the A & L Floral Shop. They were active members at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton. They spent their retirement wintering in Florida for 23 years. Art and Lois recently celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary with a party at Prairieview Apartments. Art passed away June 7, 2012 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. His easy going attitude and smile will be greatly missed. Many thanks to the Traverse Care Center staff for their love and care. Arthur is survived by his wife Lois of Wheaton, two children: Marilyn (Milo) David of Red Feather Lakes, Colorado and Ray (Terry) Larson of Spring, Texas; and four grandchildren: Michelle (Jon) Hample of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mindy (Rod) Biegenwald of Bristol Pennsylvania; Christopher Larson of Spring, Texas; and Kelly Larson of Spring, Texas. Arthur was preceded in death by two sisters: Irene Jacobsen and Eleanor Marten; and two brothers: Herb and Vernon Larson.
