Carol Allen

Carol Jean Allen, age 94, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. for both Carol and Gerald Allen at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton with Rev. Michael Breach officiating. Organist will be Sara Lee Rinke.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Pallbearers will be Carol's family. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carol's grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday one hour prior to service time at the church.

Carol Jean Allen was born June 30, 1923 to parents Ervin and Marion Miller in Roberts County, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She attended rural school in Harmon Township and graduated from Rosholt High School in 1941. After attending Northern State Teacher College in Aberdeen, South Dakota she taught in rural schools for two years.

In June of 1944 she married Roy Schultz of Wheaton. They had three children. Roy passed away in 1956. She worked at the ASCS in Wheaton for twelve years. She married Gerald Allen in 1963. They moved to Bagley, Minnesota where she worked for the Clearwater County Treasurer until retiring in 1988. They moved back to Wheaton in 1994. where Carol lived until her death. Carol entered the Traverse Care Center in January of 2013 where she lived until her death.

Carol is survived by her husband Gerald of Wheaton; three children: Jerry (Mary) Schultz of Wheaton; Connie (Mike) Schmidt of Wheaton; and Don (Donna) Schultz of Fairbault, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Schultz; her parents Ervin and Marion (Martin) Miller; grandson Brian Schultz; and sister Lois Hormann.
