Funeral Service for Clara Anna Emilie Vollmers will be held Friday, April 13, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Charles Horkey officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Dumont, Minnesota. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 12, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Clara Anna Emilie Raguse was born Oct. 3, 1912 at the Raguse farm in rural Tintah to parents Herman and Anna (Behrend) Raguse. She was baptized on Nov. 10, 1912 at Monson Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was confirmed on April 10, 1927 at Monson. Clara attended Traverse County rural school through eigth grade. In the late 1930s Clara worked as a nanny in Chicago. On March 2, 1943 she married George Dick Vollmers. To this union three sons were born; Orville, Dale and Lloyd. They lived on a farm east of Dumont until 1979 when they moved to Dumont. George passed away Aug. 8, 1982. Clara resided in Dumont until Jan of 2004 when she moved to the Prairie View Assisted Living Center in Wheaton. She entered the BVHC on April 2004 and she resided there until her death. Clara was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Dumont, the Ladies Aid, and the Altar Guild. She enjoyed being a member of the Dollymount Homemakers. She and George liked to fish and enjoyed some travel. They spent several weeks in England visiting Lloyd and Jean in 1974. Clara enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Visiting daily with friends at the Dumont Cafe brought her much joy. Clara is survived by three sons; Orville (Diane), Dale (Donna), and Lloyd (Jean); seven grandsons; Brent, Chad, Craig (Katherine), Mitch, Adam, Mark (Molly), and Paul and one granddaughter; Breanna; five great grandchildren; Grace, Michael, Samuel, Eva, and Sophia. She is also survived by sisters, Cora Beyer, Agnes Berger, Alma Mueller, and brothers Marvin Raguse and Arnold Raguse, also many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband George, parents Herman and Anna Raguse, brothers Robert, Leonard, and sisters Doris and Ida.
