Clarence Connelly V

Clarence "Billy" Connelly V, age 28, of Dumont, Minnesota passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 in Fairbank, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. John Paul Knopik and Fr. Stanley Wieser Celebrants. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack with special music provided by Marty and Tressa Lanter and the Ave Maria Catholic Church Choir.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 18th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church.

Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, rural Dumont, Minnesota. Pallbearers will be Benjamyn Peterson, Grant Anderson, Tylor Siegel, Neal Diekmann, Nickolas Johnson, Dominick Johnson, Riley Jordahl and Johnny Connelly.

Billy was born on May 26, 1993 to his proud mother Karyn and his father Buck at the Wheaton Community Hospital in Wheaton, Minnesota. He lived in Wheaton for his first six years and then moved to Dumont with his mom and stepdad Jeff. He attended Wheaton School until his graduation in 2011. Billy was a strong athlete in both football and wrestling, helping take his team to state for wrestling multiple times and even dabbled in a little college football. After a short stint in college, he went into the working force trying many jobs including working with tires in a couple places, tiling for Tom Fridgen, working at Superior, and the last few years with Bituminous Paving Company. Billy loved spending time with his family; especially his siblings. He formed a special and loving bond with each one! The hole in everyone’s hearts will be unrepairable. He enjoyed sharing with them all of his favorite hobbies including hunting, fishing, skiing, wakeboarding, playing cards, and any and every outdoor game there was made.  Most of all he taught them how to cause mischief! His hugs and his laugh will be remembered the most by all who love him!

Billy is survived by his parents Karyn (Jeff) Peterson of Dumont, MN; and Clarence “Buck” Connelly IV of Grand Forks, ND; siblings: Benjamyn, Lyla and Theadore Peterson of Dumont; brother/uncle Grant Anderson of Dumont; grandparents: Daryl (Theresa) Anderson of Dumont; Mary Connelly of Graceville, MN; and Jean Peterson of Wheaton; great-grandmother: Lois Anderson of Morris, MN; aunts and uncles: Laura (Tom) Johnson of Clinton, MN; Anne (Jeff) Jordahl of Lamoure, ND; Pat (Sarah Snyder) Connelly of Graceville; Lynette Bruns of Hoffman, MN; and Greg (Mary) Peterson of Ortonville, MN; and many cousins, friends and extended family.

Billy was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Clarence Connelly III and Harvey Peterson; and great-grandparents: Webber and Caryl Anderson and Clotildus and Felix Frisch.
