Dianne Tritz, age 66, of Dawson, Minnesota passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at her residence in Dawson.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Fr. John Paul Knopik Celebrant.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Dumont, Minnesota.
Dianne Helen Tritz was born on March 22, 1956 at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge, MN to Marvin and Eva (Anderson) Tritz. Dianne was born with Downs Syndrome – which never slowed her down.
She attended St. Peter Parochial School in Dumont, MN until its close. Then attended the special education program in Donnelly, MN until transferring to Wheaton Public School where she graduated. Shortly after graduation, Dianne moved to a group home in Atwater, MN. She soon became a client of Divine House and moved to her own apartment in Willmar. With minimal supervision she lived there for twenty-seven years. Dianne was employed at West Central Industries for the better part of that time. As her dementia progressed, Dianne moved closer to home to a Divine House in Wheaton. After a few years there she moved to Divine House in Dawson under the loving and capable hands of the staff there. Dianne resided there until she was called home the morning of July 25, 2022.
Dianne was an avid NASCAR fan and word find enthusiast. She also enjoyed the MN Twins and the Vikings. Unlike a lot of folks, when Dianne told you “yes”, she meant it and when she told you “no” it was a definite no. She knew right and wrong probably better than most. Dianne was a gentle, loving, kind individual with no money sense – but all loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and brother Peter.
Dianne is survived by brother John (Shirley) Tritz of Dumont, MN; nephews: Daniel, David, Steven and Philip; niece Lynn; and many cousins.
