Donna Peickert, age 72, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at her residence in Wheaton under hospice care.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 7, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton with Rev. George Sagissor III officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the spring in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Dumont, Minnesota. Honorary urn bearers will be Donna’s nieces and nephews.
Donna was born on September 7, 1948 to Fred and Marion (Vanvoorn) Feldick at the Graceville Holy Lutheran Hospital in Graceville, Minnesota. Donna attended and graduated from Wheaton High School. She was united in marriage to LaVerne “Sam” Peickert on June 22, 1968. The couple was blessed with three children. Donna worked at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton for thirty-eight years. Donna retired in 2016, but still would help out at the Care Center when needed.
Donna enjoyed gardening, taking trips with all her friends, playing fast-pitch softball and baking. She made excellent pies and breads that were shared with family and friends. Donna and Sam enjoyed taking trips, attending auction sales as well as fishing.
Donna is survived by her children: Gary Peickert of Willmar, MN; Linda (Dave) Peickert-Muehlbauer of Benson, MN; and Glen Peickert of Willmar, MN; her brother Alfred (Betty) Feldick of Rosholt, SD; Richard Feldick of Fergus Falls, MN; sisters Margaret Feldick (Richard Bevill) of McGregor, MN; and Shirley (Mel) Schmiege of Princeton, MN; sister-in-law Ruth Feldick Power of Barnesville, MN; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brother Raymond Feldick and sister Darlene Feldick.
Memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s Hospital or CHI Health at Home of Breckenridge, MN.
The family of Donna would like to acknowledge Carol Samuelson, Jerry Deal, and niece Theresia Barbosa for their kindness and support.
