Donna Lee Schultz, age 74, of Faribault died on Monday, June 17, 2024, at her home.
Donna Lee, the daughter of William and Clara (Bock) Swanson was born on September 19, 1949, in Wheaton. She graduated from Wheaton High School in 1967 and attended Mankato State University. Donna knew from a very early age she wanted to be a nurse. Donna served as the Director of Nurses at the Wheaton Community Hospital for several years, and then attended University of North Dakota to become a CRNA. Donna was employed as a CRNA in Dickinson, ND, Buffalo, MN and retired from District One Hospital in Faribault, MN. She married Donald Schultz on August 7, 1971, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2023.
Survived by her children, Robin (Chris) Carson of Chandler, AZ; Brian (Cindi) Schwanke of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Kelly Schultz of Owatonna, and her four grandchildren, Sydney and Maya Schultz, Zach and Xavier Carson.
Donna was so full of life and had so many friends both in MN and in AZ where her and Don would spend their winters. Donna was an avid Pickleball player, golfer, gardener, quilter, and dog-lover. She was a tremendous “Grammy” to her beloved grandkids – and was their #1 fan in any adventure or activity they would participate in.
Donna’s passing has left a huge hole in our hearts. We find comfort and peace knowing she has been reunited with Brian and Don. Her heart is finally mended.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, Bill and Clara Swanson, siblings, and her son, Brian Schultz.
