Doris Johnson

Funeral Service for Doris M. Johnson will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Pastor Anthony Ahrendt officiating. Pallbearers will be Rob Niss, Buzz Christison, Ladd Sumerfelt, Myron Johnson, Curt Alsaker and Sherwin Akerson. Organist will be Sara Lee Rinke with special music provided by Lee Hydeen-Niss. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Doris Marie Rudolph was born June 21, 1923 to Will and Marie (Behle) Rudolph on the family farm south of Rosholt, SD. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church. She attended Rosholt High School and graduated in 1941. In 1948 she married Marlo Tetzlaff. The couple had three children. Dena M. Schmitgen, William M. Tetzlaff, Jeffrey M. Tetzlaff. The couple was divorced in 1963. She was then married to Clarence M. Johnson and they resided south east of Rosholt until 1980 when the couple moved to Wheaton, MN. In her earlier years, Doris was active at Bethania Lutheran Church in Rosholt, SD and at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. In October of 2006, she moved to Prairie View Place in Wheaton where she resided until her death. Doris passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota. Doris is survived by her daughter Dena, (Blue Earth, MN) her son Jeff (Karen)Shorewood, MN, two grandchildren Travis and Tara, her sister Edna Mae Niss, of Wheaton, MN, two nieces, Marget Christison and Pat Finley and one nephew, Rob Niss, and a sister-in-law, Mabel Wang. Doris was preceded in death by her son William, her husband, Clarence, her brother, Lawrence Rudolph.
