Funeral Mass for Dorothy Dora Hauschild, 96, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Fr. Joe Vandeberg Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Rodney Whaley, Thomas Schmitz, Roger Schmitz, David Hauschild, Ardean Hauschild and Jim Hofer. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack with special music provided by the Ave Maria Catholic Church Choir. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Friday evening, September 23rd from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service and a Rosary to follow at Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Saturday morning, one hour prior to service time at the church. Dorothy Laqua was born in Dollymount Township near Dumont, Minnesota on May 9, 1915, to Fred and Rose (Hunder) Laqua. She was the sixth of seven children. She met and married Alfred Hauschild on November 2, 1937. The couple farmed in Dollymount Township until they sold the farm on June 29, 1987. They retired and moved to Andell Apartments in Wheaton. She lived there until March 30, 2008 when she entered the Traverse Care Center. Alfred passed away on October 11, 1987. Dorothy passed away September 14, 2011 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, Minnesota. Dorothy enjoyed baking, knitting, gardening and playing cards. She was a member of the Homemakers Club and the Ave Maria Quilting Group. Dorothy is survived by many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Hauschild, her parents, Fred and Rose Laqua, brother, William Laqua, Sisters: Mary Sedlon, Anna Stephens, Cecilia Stephens, Louise Schmitz and Rosella Whaley.
