A Memorial Graveside Service will be held for Douglas Johnson of St. Cloud, Minnesota, formerly of Wheaton, on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton. Pastor Tom Olson will officiate. The public is invited. Doug passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital on September 10, 2010 with his family at his side. Douglas Carl Johnson was born on July 9, 1953 to parents Raymond (Star) and Dorothy Johnson, Wheaton, Minnesota. Doug attended Wheaton High School and graduated in 1972. He made his home in Elk River for a number of years and then resided in St. Cloud. Doug will be remembered for his great sense of humor and how he could put a smile on the face of those he came in contact with. He followed the Minnesota sports teams and always looked forward to the NCAA basketball tournaments each year. Doug enjoyed golfing, camping, and grilling a great steak. He was very proud of his family and enjoyed being part of all the celebrations. He was especially fond of all his nieces and nephew. He is survived by two sisters: Starr Bourdon (Gary) of Elk River, Minnesota and Mary Shea (Patrick) of Brandon, Minnesota and his brother Michael (Sandy) of Crosby-Ironton, Minnesota, and eight nieces and two nephews.
