Dwayne Gaulrapp

Dwayne “Duke” Gaulrapp, age 95, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away December 25, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. John Paul Knopik Celebrant.

Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Urn bearers will be all of Dwayne’s grandchildren.

Dwayne Nicholas Gaulrapp was born August 23, 1925 in Wheaton, Minnesota to George and Mary (Finke) Gaulrapp. Dwayne entered the United States Navy in 1943 and served until his honorable discharge in 1946. Dwayne married Bernice Wolberson on August 7, 1947. To this union six children were born. Dwayne worked as a lineman at Traverse Electric in Wheaton until he retired. Dwayne also worked at Massey Ferguson, was a member of the Wheaton Ambulance Service and Wheaton Fire Department, and he helped farmers after hours and on weekends. Dwayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going with his wife to Arizona for the winter after his retirement.

Dwayne is survived by four children: Monica Keppler of Wheaton; Jerry (Robyn) Gaulrapp of Highland Ranch, Colorado; Joetta (Brad) Jacobs of Wheaton; Scott Gaulrapp of Wheaton; nineteen grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren; brother James (Marilyn) Gaulrapp of Plymouth, MN; sisters: Corinne Anderson of Wheaton; Lorainne Frounfelter of Lewistown, Montana; Elayne Johnson of Wheaton; Mary Lou Meyer of Ortonville, MN; Carol Ann Laddusaw of Hawley, MN.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his wife Bernice; son Barry; daughter Rosella Conroy; brothers Edward and Clayton Gaulrapp; grandson Ryan Jacobs; granddaughter Kaylee Rolland.
