Funeral Mass for Eraine Joseph "Joe" Nentl, age 89, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. Joe Vandeberg and Fr. Stan Wieser Celebrants. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack with special music provided by Ave Maria Catholic Church Choir. Pallbearers will be "Joe's Grandchildren": Jennifer Seim, Meredith Santiago, Robert Nentl, SSGT Jonathan Nentl, Mandy Mayer, Travis Heeringa, Callen Dahlke, Trevor Krauth, Tonya Morgan and Taylor Krauth. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church on Wednesday. The Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home of Wheaton, Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Eraine Joseph Nentl was born December 2, 1923 to Henry J. and Mary (Gerding) Nentl in Herman, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed into the catholic faith. He entered the United States Navy on April 5, 1944 where he served until his honorable discharge on February 7, 1946. On June 4, 1951 he married Kathryn Schumacher at Ave Maria. He worked numerous trucking jobs over the years for Lawrence Jacobson, Melvin Frounfelter, Wheaton Oil, Henry Jacobson and Bud Itzen. Joe passed away on Friday evening, July 19, 2013 at the Browns Valley Health Center in Browns Valley, Minnesota. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, playing cards and listening to polka on Sundy afternoons. Joe is survived by two sons: Henry (Laura) Nentl of Johnston, Iowa; Robert (Nancy) Nentl of Lakeville, Minnesota; four daughters: Mary (Ronnie) Scherer of Wheaton; Shirley (Brian) Heerings of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Diane Willgohs (Dan Bellows) of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and Donna (John) Krauth of Glencoe, Minnesota; ten grandchildren: Jeni (Carl) Seim, Meredith (Frank) Santiago, Robert (Amy) Nentl, SSGT Jonathan (Leah) Nentl, Mandy (PJ) Mayer, Travis (Cayla) Heeringa, Trevor (Jen) Krauth, Tonya (Simon) Morgan, Taylor Krauth (Jayme) and Callen (Nick) Dahlke; nine great-grandchildren Savannah and Nathan Seim, Ana and Aidan Santiago, Landon Mayer and Nicholas Washburn, Ashleigh Krauth and Kaitlyn and Aiden Morgan, one sister Delores Witschen and three sister-in-laws, Victoria Schumacher, Elsie Barth and Muriel Nentl and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Katie, parents and three brothers: Alfred, Jerome and Bernard.
