Michael Breach Officiating. Pallbearers will be Esther's Grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug & Dona Stevens and Staff. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Esther was born in Graceville, Minnesota on July 13, 1924, the daughter of Herbert and Alma Bullock. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Dumont, Minnesota. At the time of her birth, the Bullock family was living east of Dumont in Dollymount Township. Esther attended rural school in Traverse County until the family moved to Browns Valley, Minnesota in 1937. On July 27, 1941 Esther was united in marriage to Glen (Stub) Tracy. Upon their marriage the couple returned to live in Dollymount Township where together they shared the joys and toils of early farming practices. They were blessed with four children, Rodney, Linda, Gary and Patt. In the 1950's and 60's, along with farming their home farm land, they operated a Custom Combining Operation which found the family following the harvest season from Oklahoma to the Canadian border. In the late 1960's Esther took on another career and began a home business where she taught ceramic painting classes and sold ceramic greenwear that she and Glen molded in their home shop. She was very talented and a perfectionist at her painting. Esther loved taking care of people and in 1970 took on another venture in life as she began working as a nurse's aid at the Wheaton Community Hospital. Patients under her care were always nurtured with a caring and tender touch and she had a special way to just make people feel better. As nurse's aid positions began to be eliminated in hospital staffing, Esther transferred her employment status to become a Department Head for the Hospital Housekeeping Department. She took great pride in her work and performed housekeeping tasks to perfection. She was a dedicated Wheaton Community Hospital employee for 28 years. In 1976 Esther and Glen retired from farming and moved into Wheaton. Just as it was on the farm, their home was always open to family and friends where Esther's sweet and gentle manner always made everyone feel welcome. Visitors would gather around the kitchen table where Esther would offer you a cup of coffee, lighthearted conversation and an invitation to stay for a meal. She always had time for everyone, no matter what her schedule was. She was especially fond of the precious time she spent with her family and grandchildren. Known as Grandma Esther to her grandchildren she leaves a legacy that they will cherish forever. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her smile and laughter will never be forgotten. Upon Glen's passing in 1998 Esther remained in her home in Wheaton until 2004 when she moved to Barrett, Minnesota and resided in the Stevens Home Plus Adult Foster Home. Esther's family are forever grateful to Doug and Dona Stevens and the Steven's Home staff for the tender and personal care they provided Esther through the nine years of her stay there. They opened their home and their hearts to her and she found comfort with them during a difficult time of her life. Esther passed away on Feb 22, 2013 at the Stevens Home Plus Adult Foster Home in Barrett, Minnesota. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Glen, parents Herbert and Alma Bullock, sister Mildred, and daughter-in-law Kay (Housley) Tracy. She is survived by her children: Rodney Tracy of Wyoming, Minnesota; Linda (Vernell) Wagner of Herman, Minnesota; Gary (Pat) Tracy of Wheaton; and Patt (Kurt) Luhman of Goodyear, Arizona; brother Marvin Bullock of Browns Valley, Minnesota, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren.
