Eugene Stoneburg

Eugene Stoneburg of Starbuck, Minnesota, formerly of Herman, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck at the age of 69.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, rural Herman, Minnesota with Rev. Heather E. Klason officiating. Pallbearers will be Lindsey Mann, Brandon Schmidt, Jeromey Stoneburg, Justin Barber, Chad Stoneburg and Derek Stoneburg.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to gather for visitations and services. The use of face masks by attendees is required. For those who prefer or require continued precautions, webcasting is available in most situations.

Eugene Clayton Stoneburg, son of Verde and Darlene Stoneburg was born on May 7, 1951 in Morris, Minnesota.  He grew up and attended high school in Herman, graduating in 1969.  After graduation he joined the National Guard.  Eugene enjoyed spending time with family, watching football and playing cards.

Eugene is survived by his two children: Jason Stoneburg of Donnelly, MN; and Sarah (Kraig) Kaehler of Elk River, MN; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Madison and Emma; one brother Gale (Deb) Stoneburg of Herman, MN; two sisters: Vickie Stoneburg of Monticello, MN; and Wanda Stoneburg (her fiancé John Barber) of Herman; one niece Lindsey (Kevin) Mann of Zimmerman, MN; nephews: Brandon (Tenielle) Schmidt of Fargo, ND; Jeromey (Leann) Stoneburg of Chanhassen, MN; Justin (Amanda) Barber of Sebeka, MN; Chad (Mary) Stoneburg of Moorhead, MN; and Derek Stoneburg of Moorhead, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dwane Stoneburg.
