Funeral Mass for Eva Anna Tritz, age 94, of the Wheaton and Dumont area, will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Fr. Joe Vandeberg and Fr. Stanley Wieser Celebrants. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack with special music provided by the Ave Maria Catholic Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Daniel Tritz, David Tritz, Steven Tritz, Philip Tritz, Mike Bartholome, Joe Bartholome and Donald Bartholome. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, June 26th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at the Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Interment will be in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, rural Dumont, Minnesota. The Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home of Wheaton, Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Eva Anna Anderson was born on October 18, 1917 to Jons Theodore and Gertrude (Steinert) Anderson. Eva graduated from Wheaton High School in 1935. She was employed by the Department of the Navy in Washington D.C. until WWII ended, at which time she returned to the Wheaton area. On December 30, 1947 in Wheaton, Eva married Marvin Tritz of Dumont, Minnesota. They raised three children on their farm near Dumont, where they lived and farmed until 1985 when they moved to Wheaton. Eva was active with the Traverse Grant County ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) for thirty plus years. She was also a member of St. Peters Parish in Dumont where she served as a catechist for numerous years. Eva enjoyed playing bingo, solitaire, knitting and sewing patchwork quilts. Each grandchild was given knitted sweaters and mittens as well as a quilt. She possessed a ready wit that her nurses and caretakers and everyone enjoyed. She will be missed. Eva passed away early Sunday morning, June 24, 2012 at the Grace Home in Graceville, Minnesota. Eva is survived by two sons: John (Shirley) Tritz of Dumont, Minnesota and Peter (Cindy) Tritz of St. Paul, Minnesota; one daughter Dianne Tritz of Willmar, Minnesota; one sister Irene Boardman of Rogersville, Missouri, six grandchildren: Daniel Tritz, David (Kristin) Tritz, Lynn Tritz, Katie (Ross) Eichele, Steven Tritz and Philip Tritz; and four great-grandchildren: Parker and Austin Tritz and Joseph and Jerome Eichele. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, sister Bernice Bartholome and two brothers: Ted and Leo Anderson. Memorials are preferred to the Grace Home in Graceville, Minnesota or the ARC of Minnesota.
