Evelyn Anderson

Funeral Services for Evelyn O. Anderson will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Pastor Thomas Olson officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Kaplan, Mark Erenberg, David Erenberg, Bill Erenberg, Michael Anderson, Floyd Kanten and Richard Haugen. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Chapel in Wheaton and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton. Evelyn was born in Watson, Minnesota to parents Oscar and Ella (Severson) Erenberg. She received a degree in Elementary Education from what is now St. Cloud State University. She also attended the University of Minnesota in Duluth. Evelyn taught at schools in the Minnesota towns of Delhi, Howard Lake, North Shore Elementary in St. Louis County, near Duluth, and Wheaton before finishing her 26 years of elementary teaching, retiring in 1976 Evelyn married Harold M Anderson of Clarkfield, Minnesota on June 21, 1937 in Benson, Minnesota. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, P.E.O. Sisterhood, the Wheaton Library Club, Eastern Star, the Minnesota Education Association, and the National Education Association. Harold passed away in 1980. Evelyn enjoyed reading, gardening, yardwork, playing cards-especially bridge, and was a wonderful cook and baker. Evelyn passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2008 at the Wheaton Community Hospital. She was 100 years old. Evelyn Anderson is survived by one Son, Robert of Wheaton, Minnesota, 2 daughters: Mary Lusk of Ventura, California, and Margit Kaplan of Wheaton, Minnesota, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother: Robert Erenberg of Benson, Minnesota. Memorials are preferred to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Wheaton, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the American Cancer Society.
