Faith Mathias

Faith Mathias, 59, of Richfield, MN, passed away March 14, 2019 at the Bethany on the Lake Home in Alexandria, MN in the care of Douglas County Hospice.

A Celebration Of Life will take place Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the gardens of Legacy at the Lake Museum in Alexandria, Minnesota (205 3rd Avenue W).

Faith was born August 12, 1959 to Donald and Lola Mathias. She graduated from the Herman High School class of 1977. Her passion in life was her career as a physical therapist. It took her on many interesting paths in the quest to learn as much as she could in order to provide the best care for her patients. Faith's interest in her career started when she was in high school working at the Wheaton Hospital. She also loved her summer job at Camp Courage. Faith fought her many personal medical battles with courage and the determination to live an independent life.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Lola Mathias, and niece Molly Kleinman.

Faith is survived by her brothers and sisters: Judy (Robert) Kleinman of St. Paul, MN; Richard (Marilyn) Mathias of Wheaton, MN; Donna (Richard) Defoe of Verona, WI; Jon (Marcy) Mathias of Wheaton, MN; Michael (Jody) Mathias of Fargo, ND; and Michele Mathias of Alexandria, MN; along with ten nieces and nephews, and seven great-nieces and great-nephews.
