Frederick Bartells

Fred Bartells, age 75, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, Minnesota.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Urn bearer will be his grandson Alex Hubrig.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Thursday morning one hour prior to service time at the church

Fred was born January 25, 1943 in Morris, Minnesota to Norman Sr. and Edna Bartells. He attended Herman High School. Fred was united in marriage to Marion Hanson on November 30, 1963 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota. Together they had two children: Robin and Angela.

Fred did construction work for forty-one years. He began his career working for Minnesota Valley and later worked for Dunnick & Dillcrest and W. D. Hodgeman & Son.

Fred is survived by his wife: Marion (Hanson) Bartells of Wheaton; Daughters: Robin Amborn and friend Bruce Job of Rosholt, SD; and Angela (Patrick) Knowles of Wheaton; six brothers: Norman "Sonny" Bartells of Herman, MN; Larry (Lana) Bartells of Upsala, MN; Kenny (Sylvia) Bartells of Elbow Lake, MN; Glen (Carol) Bartells Burnsville, MN; Paul (Kathy) Bartells of Elbow Lake, MN; and Curtis (Sherry) Bartells of Jordan, MN; one sister Viola Bertman of Willmar, MN; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Beverly Erickson of Wheaton, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister Linda; and his mother and father-in-law: Francis and Esther Hanson.
