Frederick Rixe

Fred Rixe, age 62, of Kennewick, Washington passed away at his residence on January 27, 2018.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton with Rev. Michael Breach officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 16th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Saturday morning one hour prior to service time at the church.

Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Wheaton.

Frederick Gene Rixe was born January 9, 1956 in Ortonville, Minnesota to Donald and Doris (Neumann) Rixe. He was baptized on February 12, 1956 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville, Minnesota and later confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. He graduated from Wheaton High School and furthered his education at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Fred worked as a meteorologist and was constantly on the move. He lived in Colorado, Texas, Florida, Michigan and finally Washington. He loved to travel, enjoyed golfing, skiing, skydiving and hosting friends at his home around the swimming pool.

He is survived by his mother Doris Rixe of Wheaton; three sisters: Nanc Rixe (Daniel Braun) of Wheaton, MN and Lake Ariel, PA; Karen (Scott) Fiege of Lake City, MN; and Donna (Paul) Morrison of Scottsdale, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his father.
