Glenn Curtis Frisch, DC, 62, of Ham Lake died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at his home.
He was born February 3, 1961 in Fargo, North Dakota to Curtis and Sharon (Bruns) Frisch. Glenn was raised in Dumont, MN. He graduated from Wheaton High School in 1979 and went on to attend Northwestern Chiropractic College, graduating in 1985. He used the research-based activator method. After graduating he started his first practice in Canby, MN.
Glenn practiced in Canby for five years, it was there that he always said “That’s where I learned to be a good doctor”. After five years he was ready for a challenge and moved to the Twin Cities. He opened a practice in the Circle Pines/Lexington area which he was still working at the time of his passing.
On August 10, 1996 he was united in marriage to Eileen Sylvester at The Church of the Epiphany by Father Bernard Reiser. They made their home in Ham Lake and worked together as a team in the chiropractic office.
In the 38 years of practicing, he never once advertised as his business was built on referrals and he treated generations of families. He liked the challenges and taking on the difficult cases no one else would touch. People would always say go see “Frisch” or go see “Glenn”. He was proud of his career and the thousands of patients who trusted him with his care. Over the past few years, he would be asked everyday “You better not retire because we need you” His response was “As long as my health holds up, I may cut back, but I have no plans to fully retire”.
Glenn was proud to be from Dumont, he always jokingly made sure you knew he was from there and not Wheaton. He was a great teacher, mentor, was humble, strong in his Catholic faith and always put others before himself. He loved to play guitar and took lessons every Wednesday with Rick Taube. That was his therapy and he looked forward to it every week. He loved his home, neighborhood and community. Glenn and Eileen loved spending time on the North Shore.
Glenn was a member of the Minnesota Clinical Hypnosis Society. He took great pride and he was the only Chiropractor who was a member in Minnesota using clinical hypnosis.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Mary Frisch. Glenn is survived by his wife Eileen, parents Curtis and Sharon Frisch of Wheaton, siblings Scott Frisch of Colorado Springs, CO, Cindy (Dick) Sanasack of Dumont, Tony (Allison) Frisch of Wheaton, nieces and nephews McKinzie (Tyler) Meichsner of Centerville, Austin Russell of Watford, ND, Adam Russell of St. Paul, great nephews Owen and Connor Meichsner, other relatives and friends.
