Funeral Service for Glenn Hagen, age 85, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Thomas Olson officiating. Special music will be provided by Jacob Nelson and Jessie Braaten. Pallbearers will be Glenn's grandsons: Paul Nelson, Mark Nelson, Jacob Nelson, Danny Duenwald, Tyler Stich and Nate Stich. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harlan Anderson, Patrick Duenwald, Duane Nelson and Brian Stich. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Glenn Orville Hagen was born on May 3, 1928 in Fosston, Minnesota to Iver and Hilda (Oftelie) Hagen. He attended school in Fosston graduating from Fosston High School in 1946. Glenn entered the United States Army in 1947 and served until his honorable discharge in 1949. Glenn was united in marriage to Alice Welte on October 30, 1948 in Fosston. Glenn attended Moorhead Teachers College and earned his teaching degree. He taught industrial arts/electronics at Wheaton High School for thirty one years. He was an avid golfer and golf coach during these years. Glenn enjoyed being with his family, golfing, solving crossword puzzles, playing his accordion, and woodworking. Glenn passed away December 27, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Wheaton. Glenn is survived by his wife Alice of Wheaton; four children: Stefanie (Harlan) Anderson of Willmar, Minnesota; Patricia (Patrick) Duenwald of St. Peter, Minnesota; Ginger (Duane) Nelson of Ada, Minnesota; and Mary (Brian) Stich of Moorhead, Minnesota; ten grandchildren: Jenny (Hugh), Kristy (Paul), Laura (Mike), Sarah (Jeff), Danny, Paul (Casi), Mark, Jacob, Tyler and Nate; seven great-grandchildren: Andrew, Owen, Isaac, Sophia, Henry, Halden and Henrik.
