Grace Muellenbach

Funeral Mass for Grace Muellenbach, 95, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. Stanley Wieser and Fr. Joe Vandeberg Celebrants. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Shuckhart, Jack Cory, John Muellenbach, Harold P. Jacobson, Judie Muellenbach and Jay Cory. Pallbearers will be Mark Muellenbach, Scott Muellenbach, Pam Muellenbach, Teri Muellenbach, Jolie Maxwell and Chris Shuckhart. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 19th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at the Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Friday morning one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Grace Ladema Johnson was born January 7, 1917 in Chokio, Minnesota to Alfred and Hazel (Clark) Johnson but lived her entire life in Wheaton, Minnesota. She graduated from Wheaton High School Class of 1936. She was very active in high school including choir, theatre and basketball. After she married in 1940, she and her husband Harold A. Shuckhart lived next to Graces parents and then built a home nearby. Grace and Harold A. had two children - Harold E. and Kathleen G. Harold A Shuckhart died in 1945. In 1946, Grace married Al J. Muellenbach, a widower with three sons: Jerome, Leonard, and John. Grace and Al had one daughter, Judie. Grace worked at the Ben Franklin Store, Stewarts Variety Store, the Gopher Theatre, Pearson Elementary School, and Wheaton High School. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Grace attended Ave Maria Catholic Church where she sang in the choir for many years and was in the church guild. Later in life, Grace served as an election judge. Grace passed away April 17, 2012 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, Minnesota. Grace is survived by sons: Harold E. (Carol) Shuckhart of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and John (Virginia) Muellenbach of Wheaton, Minnesota, daughter: Judie (Harold) Jacobson of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, daughter-in-law: Inez Muellenbach of Clear Lake, Minnesota, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold A. Shuckhart, husband Al J. Muellenbach, sister Jessie (Ernest) Cory, sister Florence (Alfred) Timm, brother Lloyd (Doris) Johnson, daughter Kathleen Shuckhart, son Jerome Muellenbach, son Leonard Muellenbach, and many cousins.
