Harvey Totzke

Funeral Service for Harvey Totzke, 71, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Charles Horkey officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Visitation will be held Monday, April 23, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a 7:30 P.M. Prayer Service at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. Harvey was born in Wheaton on December 10, 1935. He grew up on a farm northeast of Wheaton with his sister. He graduated from Wheaton High School and attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and graduated with a degree in welding. He served in the U.S. Army, 24th Infantry Division in Korea. He returned to Wheaton in the mid 1950s and began farming. Harvey married Vyonne Boehmlehner on June 16, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being by the lake, fishing, hunting, feeding the birds, taking a coffee break and attending his grandchildrens sporting events. He also enjoyed taking rides with Vyonne to look at the crops and stop to eat somewhere along the way. Harvey passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at the Wheaton Community Hospital in Wheaton, Minnesota. Harvey is survived by his wife, Vyonne of Wheaton; his daughter Darla (Shawn) Dobberstein, Fargo and their children Kayla and Michael; a sister Evelyn (Rodney) Swenson, Puyallup, WA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elsie.
