Funeral services for Herbert Carl Larson, 89, of Wheaton, Minnesota were held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Pastor Tom Olson officiating. Pallbearers were Bud Froemke, Glenn Frisch, Tony Frisch, Dick Sanasack, Vaughn Maudal, Brad Larson, Gene Snyder, John Neal. Organist was Nancy Krenz. Interment was at Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton. Visitation was held Monday, June 22nd from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home. The Ranney Funeral Home of Wheaton, Minnesota was in charge of arrangements. Herb was born on October 22, 1919, the son of Hjalmer & Hedvig Larson. He grew up in Traverse County, and married Mildred Propp. They had two sons, Lynel & Loran. After Mildred passed away, Herbert married Eunice Bruns in 1961. They lived in Wheaton and he worked as a partsman at Sturdevants and Napa, owned and managed East Side Market, and later helped area farmers with field work. Herb and Eunice enjoyed spending winters in Texas, and fishing back in Minnesota whenever he could find the time. He was an active member of Presbyterian Church until the time of his death. Herb passed away June 20, 2009 at the Rosholt Care Center in Rosholt, South Dakota Herb is survived by three children, Lynel (Judie) Larson of Wheaton, Loran (Linda) Larson of Larimore, North Dakota, step-daughter Sharon (Curtis) Frisch of Wheaton, one brother, Arthur (Lois) Larson of Wheaton, nine grandchildren: Brad (Karen) Larson, Rhonda (Gene) Snyder, Rick (Michele) Larson, Gina (John) Neal, Michele Hunsinger, Scott Frisch, Glenn (Eileen) Frisch, Cindy (Dick ) Sanasack and Tony (Alli) Frisch, fifteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Herb was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Mildred Larson and Eunice Larson, sisters Irene Jacobsen and Eleanor Marten, one brother Vernon, one nephew Leon Marten, and one great grandson, Mason.
