Funeral Services for Julia Adelia Gallagher will be held Wednesday, June 8th, at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, Minnesota. Pastor Tim Shekleton will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Bethlehem Covenant Church, and continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Wheaton. Pallbearers will be: Ken Murphy, Scott Olson, Kayla Murphy, Jesse Gallagher, Kevin Widhalm and Brad Gallagher. Julia passed away Sunday evening at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. She was 90 years old. The Ranney Funeral Home of Wheaton is in charge of arrangements. Julia was born October 24, 1920 to Hildur (Skoglund) and Julius Carlson at Wheaton, Minnesota. On February 27, 1940 she married Harold Gallagher. Julia was a faithful member of Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton. She helped cook at funerals and was a taxi driver for many folks that couldnt drive. She also helped at the Traverse Care Center. Throughout her life, Julia worked at many jobs around Wheaton, some of which were at the Wheaton Creamery, Wheaton Dry Cleaners, Myrtles Caf, the Phone Company and Dr. Weickerts Dentistry office. Julia was a community volunteer all her life, helping ill people and her family. She loved her family and grandchildren. Julia loved to play cards and listen to music. She was a big Twins fan and received material from them. Julia is survived by two children: Mary Lou (Anthony) Widhalm of Rosholt, South Dakota and Dr. Stanley (Joyce) Gallagher of Wheaton, two sisters: Marion Hills of Brainerd, Minnesota and Violet Milbrandt of Wheaton, five grandchildren: Brad Gallagher of Wheaton, Kris Gallagher of Concord, North Carolina, Susan Olson of Arizona, Kevin Widhalm of Rosholt and Sandy (Ken) Murphy of Marshall, Minnesota, seven great grandchildren: Kayla and Kyle Murphy of Marshall, Jesse, Georgia, and Gracie Gallagher and their mother Jody Gallagher, all of Wheaton, Scott and Julia Olson of Arizona, and many nieces and nephews. Julia was preceded in death by her husband Harold, three brothers: Clarence (Rosa) Carlson, Henry Carlson and Lawrence Carlson, five sisters: Signe (August) Niederbaumer, Edith (Roy) Nelson, Helen (Cyril) Westby, Ethel and Pearl Carlson.
