Larry Ehlers

A celebration of life for Larry Ehlers, 56, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Charles Horkey officiating. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Visitation will be held Monday evening, September 12th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning, one hour prior to service time at the church. Larry was born on January 26, 1955 in Breckenridge, Minnesota to Donald and Esther Ehlers. Larry was the youngest of three children. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at St. John Lutheran Church. Larry married the love of his life, Linda Hormann, on April 12, 1975. To this union three children were born, Krista, Kevin, and Craig. Larry loved his family very much. He enjoyed the time spent with his children, grandchildren and being Grandpa Lar . Larry loved the land and the fruits of the harvest that came from it. He loved the day to day conversations with the people of the trucking industry. Whether it was a driver, mechanic or dispatcher he loved to share stories with them all. Larry loved sharing conversation and coffee with everyone he came in contact with. His b-s-ing put a smile on many faces. Shake the moon Larry. Larry passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Sanford Hospital in Wheaton due to a heart attack. Larry will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Linda of Wheaton, Minnesota, Children: Krista (Rob) Martini of Sartell, Minnesota and Craig Ehlers and fianc Kerry Haugenoe of Wheaton, Minnesota, Grandchildren: Andrew and Audrey Martini, Christina Kast, Nevaeh Haugenoe, and Jaradyn Lehmann, Mother and Father-in-Law, Roy and Shirley Hormann, two Brothers-in-law: Steve (Mary Jean) Hormann and Curt (Penny) Hormann, two Sisters-in-law: Brenda (Jim) Teal and Janice (Ron) Drechsel. Larry was welcomed into Heaven by his Son, Kevin, Sisters: Marilyn Sather and Nira Mesker and her husband Dave, his Parents, Donald and Esther Ehlers.
