Leonard James Larson was born in Starbuck, Minnesota on February 4, 1959 to Shirley Hicks and James Larson. He started off his school years in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Leonard later dropped out in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. He proceeded to work on and later receive his GED. He married Susie Zimmer on March 26, 1977. To this union a son Jeremy Larson and daughter Kristy Larson were born. The couple divorced and Leonard moved to North Carolina and met Melissa Woodall. The couple was blessed with a daughter Misty Larson. Several years later after they had split he moved back to Minnesota.
During his years in Minnesota Leonard and his brothers, family and friends made a huge amount of memories. Leonard became disabled throughout his years here, but his last place of employment was with his uncle Darrel Pieske. Leonard enjoyed spending time fishing and anything that had to do with the outdoors. In the last few months of his life he spent a lot of his time watching the Hancock football teams. He sure loved to cheer them on. Leonard was a very loving and caring man. He will be greatly missed! We would all like to thank everyone for the love and support. God Bless You All.
Leonard is survived by three children: Jeremy Larson of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; Kristy Larson of Watertown, South Dakota; and Misty Larson of Raleigh, North Carolina; three grandchildren; three brothers: Timothy Larson, Michael Pieske and Randy (Angie) Pieske all of Hancock, Minnesota; one aunt Beverly Phillips of Chokio, Minnesota; step-sisters Wendy (Ronald) O'Neal, Laurie (Pat) Burke, and Sherri Aguillon; step-brother Jimmy Pieske; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and one brother Jonathan Larson.
