Funeral Mass for Lucille A. Frisch, 97, of Dumont, Minnesota, will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Fr. Joe Vandeberg Celebrant. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack with special music provided by the Ave Maria Catholic Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Dean Frisch, Greg Frisch, Chuck Grimes, Steve Grimes, Tom Frisch and Tony Frisch. Interment will be in St. Peters Catholic Cemetery, Dumont, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. The Ranney Funeral Home of Wheaton, Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Lucille was born in Dumont, Minnesota to Edward and Mary (Schmitz) Burke on January 18, 1914. Lucille had eight years of school at the Parochial School followed by two years of High School in Dumont, and two years of High School in Wheaton where she graduated in 1931. She furthered her education at Lees School of Cosmetology in Minneapolis. Lucille also helped her dad in the Grocery Store in Dumont. After beauty school she worked at the Artistic Beauty Salon in Minneapolis for a year or so, then returned to the Dumont area. She married Paul Frisch on November 23, 1938. She worked at Lillian Molsters and Adebelle Vyes Beauty Shops before starting her own in Dumont. In 1938 Lucille and her husband Paul built a caf in Dumont and put her Beauty Shop in the back of the caf. She operated the caf until 1942, when Paul was sent to Air Force Flight School in Texas. Paul would work in Muskogee, Oklahoma for two years as a flight instructor. They came back and began farming in 1945 which they did until 1962. Lucille was active in her church, was a ladies aid officer, choir member and always worked at the many church events. Lucille golfed, painted, sewed, loved to play cards and was active until June 6, 2000 when she became a resident of the Grace Home in Graceville. Lucille would pass away there on June 27, 2011. Lucille is survived by many nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, two sisters, Florence Thompson and Clo Frisch, one brother, Eddie Burke and her parents, Edward and Mary Burke.
