Lydia Louise Beyer, 90, of Wheaton, Minnesota died Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. Funeral Service was held at Immanuel Lutheran Monson Township Church, rural Wheaton at 10:30 A.M. Friday, November 11, with Rev. Dale Young officiating. Interment was in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Lydia was born on January 31, 1915 in Monson Township, rural Wheaton, Minnesota to Reinhold and Johanna (Totzke) Raguse. She was united in marriage to George Beyer on April 13, 1941. They lived and farmed in Taylor Township, Minnesota. After retirement, they enjoyed summers at their lake cabin on South Turtle Lake. The couple enjoyed winters in California for many years. They moved to Battle Lake for two winters. In 2001 they moved to Prairieview Place in Wheaton. Lydia entered the Traverse Care Center in December of 2001. Lydia was the typical hardworking farm wife working with her husband in the field, raising many kinds of poultry, growing a bountiful garden which she eagerly shared, quilting and sewing for herself and grandchildren whom she adored. She loved to play many kinds of cards. She was LWML member of St. Pauls Lutheran, Taylor Township and later Immanuel, Monson Township. Lydia is survived by her husband, George of Wheaton, two children: Robert (Darlene) Beyer of Tintah, Minnesota, and Jacquelyn Johns, (fiance Jack Bright) Fresno, California, three grandsons: Wade Johns of Ventura, California, Troy Beyer of Houson, Texas, and Rodd (Jamie) Beyer of Wheaton, and one great-granddaughter: Aspen Beyer of Wheaton. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Frank, Walter, Ernest, and Edwin, one sister, Selma, and two grandsons, Grant Johns and Keith Beyer.
