Magdaline Frey

Magdaline “Maggie” Frey was born to Ben and Hellon Stoick on January 18, 1933.  She had eleven sisters and two brothers.  She lost one daughter, Belinda who was only thirty-eight years old and who had two daughters Amanda Young and Kellie Walker.  The girls spent every summer with Maggie and loved her very much.

Maggie spent time working at several places including the Bakery for over ten years, Dale’s Steakhouse for over ten years and the Senior Citizen’s Center for over thirteen years.  She loved living in Wheaton and liked being with people.  Anyone who knew her, liked her.  Maggie’s son Allen took care of her for the past eight years while her health was deteriorating.

The following quotes are from her granddaughters, Amanda and Kellie.

Grandma

Since childhood you have given me,

So much strength within

And this has been a precious gift

That’s seen me through thick and thin.

It truly may be said

You bring happiness with all you do

There is no Grandma on this earth

Who could compare to you.

Grandmother

You are a priceless treasure in my life.

I have watched you bring joy and

Encouragement to friends….

Love and commitment to family.

May God bless you.
