Margaret Jane Gauger, age 90, was born on March 8, 1916 in Larchwood, Iowa and died on March 13, 2006 in Buffalo, Minnesota. Margaret graduated from Wheaton High School in 1933 and taught school for several years before marrying Lawrence on November 6, 1938. They farmed northeast of Wheaton for 50+ years while raising their family. Margaret was a believer who knew Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton for her entire life. She was deeply involved in many church activities serving as the Christian Education Director for many years as well as teaching Sunday School. She enjoyed her large flower gardens on the farm, entertaining friends and family and traveled extensively with Lawrence in the United States and throughout the world. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, March 18 at the First Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, with Rev. Tim Shekleton officiating. Interment will be in the Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton, Minnesota at a later date. She is survived by daughter, Gloria Bannister (Paul) and son, Glenn Gauger (Jan), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; parents, George and Nellie Haggardt; brothers, Marvin and Merton and sister, Norman Riess
