Margaret Kramer

Margaret Kramer, age 91, of Herman, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Eden Reformed Church in Herman with Rev. Harrison Newhouse officiating. Organist will be Iloise Groth with special music by Greg Sperr.

Interment will be in Eden Reformed Cemetery, rural Herman. Pallbearers will be Landon Strand, Levin Strand, Harvey Williams, Jason Todd, John Todd and Carl Ritzschke. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Margaret's nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning, one hour prior to service time at the church.

Grace Margaret Kramer was born September 11, 1927 in Herman, Minnesota to Andrew and Grace (Siebrands) Kramer. She was baptized and confirmed at Eden Reformed Church in Herman. She completed 8th grade at country school #8, and graduated from Herman High School in 1945. She attended Wheaton Normal Teachers College for one year and later completed her teacher's degree at Moorhead State University. She taught country school at District #35 and #65 as well as at Herman Elementary School retiring in 1985 after teaching for forty years.

Margaret was active in her church; teaching Sunday School, and was involved in almost all church activities. She had a very strong faith. She loved reading, dancing, puzzles, Sunday night family dinners and watching sports. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, Alaska, Mexico and most of the United States. Margaret greatest joy was time spent with her family.

Margaret is survived by three sisters-in-law: Dora Kramer of Herman, MN; Joyce Kramer of Morris, MN; and Janelle Kramer-Courtney of Algona, IA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; sister Anna (Carl) Ritzschke; brothers: Johnny Kramer, Andrew Kramer and George Kramer; and several nieces and nephews.
