Marian Norton

Funeral Service for Marian Madge Norton, 87, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Thursday, September 21, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. Stanley Wieser officiating. Pallbearers will be Madges Grandchildren Allison Bigalke, Jake Norton, Kip Norton, Jennifer Olson, James Norton, John Norton Jr., and Carl Norton. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. Madge grew up in Beardsley, Minnesota and graduated from Beardsley High School. She worked for three years as a librarian for the city of Beardsley. Madge was united in marriage on May 18, 1944 to Wesley Norton and the couple made their home in Wheaton. She was actively involved in the American Legion Auxillary, Blood Mobile, Catholic Church Ladies Guilds, and the American Cancer Society. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens organization of Wheaton. Madge loved sewing, cooking, knitting, crocheting, dancing, and her time spent with her many friends and family. Madge passed away on September 18, 2006 at the Courage Cottage Hospice Center in Morris, Minnesota. Madge is survived by two sons: Jeff (Kaye) Norton of Wheaton, Minnesota, John (Nancy) Norton of Dwight, North Dakota, Seven Grandchildren, Seven Great-grandchildren & several nieces and nephews. Madge was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, three sisters & two brothers.
