Marie Doll

Marie T. Doll, age 97, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. John Paul Knopik and Fr. Stanley Wieser Celebrants. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack with special music by Doug Frisch. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Dumont, Minnesota. Pallbearers will be Marie's grandchildren: RaNae Doll, Mike Doll, Theresa Clavin, Roger Doll, Leslie Miller, Kelly Nicholls, Morgan Reames and Brandi Olson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marie's great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to service time at the church.

Marie was born to Jacob and Teresa Beck on August 23, 1921 in the St. Leo, Minnesota area. She attended country school completing the eighth grade. Marie met Cletus "Click" at the outdoor movies in Dumont. They were united in marriage April 18, 1939. Together they were blessed with four children: Adeline "Sis", David "Butch", Patty and Lindy.

Hard work was something Marie never shied away from. She and Click worked side by side on the farm. After working in the field she would clean, do the laundry and cook. Unplanned guests were always welcome. Marie could whip up a meal on short notice and always join in a few games of cards.

Marie is survived by her son: David "Butch" (Glenna) Doll of Dumont, MN; daughters: Adeline "Sis" (David) Foley of Inver Grove Heights, MN; Patty (Jay) Nicholls of Hastings, MN; and Lindy (Doug) Olson of Dumont, MN; eight grandchildren: RaNae (Todd) Officer, Mike (Heather) Doll, Theresa (T.J.) Clavin, Roger (Alexis) Doll, Leslie (Sean) Miller, Kelly Nicholls, Morgan (Todd) Reames, and Brandi Olson; sixteen great-grandchildren: Haily, Logan, Chasen, Drayton and Kaylynn Doll; Austin, Parker and Autumn Clavin, Tyler and Grace Officer; Boston, Bryce, Beckette and Coy Miller; Ari and Ryland Reames; one sister Verna Bjerk; and one brother William (Sharon) Beck.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Click; her parents; half-sister Marge Aanerud; infant great-grandchild Callum Sean Miller; and siblings: Ralph (Lorraine) Beck, Alphonse Beck, James Beck, Raymond Beck, and Rose Marie Beck.

M-O-M means many different things to all us. Today let it stand for "Memories of Marie" as we share with others some of our favorite ones.
