Mark Lorenz Hansen was born on September 10, 1944 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Lorenz and Anne (Wurl) Hansen. He grew up in Rosholt, South Dakota and graduated from Rosholt High School. He furthered his education at NDSCS in Wahpeton, North Dakota where he attended school for heating and air conditioning repair. Mark worked in Rosholt, South Dakota before moving to Ham Lake, Minnesota where he owned and operated Hansen Heating. He enjoyed fishing at his lake cabin, and spending time with his sons, friends and family. Mark passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Ham Lake on January 4, 2011. Mark is survived by three sons: Matt (Amber) Hansen of Wheaton, Minnesota, Josh Hansen of Carver, Minnesota and Jayson (Jennifer) Hansen of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, five grandchildren: Zachary, Olivia, Connor, Samantha and Nathan Hansen, siblings: Marianne (Frank) Stephens of Aurora, Illinois, Maureen (John) Edman of Maplewood, Minnesota, Myra (Dave) Esler of Highland Park, Illinois and Marlo (Carla) Hansen of Bloming Prairie, Minnesota. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Glen Cary Lutheran Church (15531 Central Avenue NE, Anoka, Minnesota 553045) with Pastor Paul Settergren officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
