Mary Ann Rose Fridgen was born to Jack and Rosella (Doll) Krauth on October 27, 1931 at home in Traverse County. She was baptized at St. Peter's Parish in Dumont and received her First Communion at St. Patrick's Parish in Collis. She attended school in Dumont, Collis and Graceville through eighth grade.

Mary Ann moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Ruth and Vince Olson as a housekeeper and also worked at a hospital in Minneapolis. Mary Ann returned to Dumont and worked for Art as his housekeeper. They were married September 1, 1956 at St. Peter's Church in Dumont. They had four children: Marcia, Kathy, Tom and Lisa.

Mary Ann made the best pumpkin bars and she made them for every holiday dinner. Her grandchildren requested her egg salad sandwiches and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the crusts cut off.

She loved shopping for eye glasses, rugs, towels and jewelry. She had quite a collection of jewelry and in honor of Mary Ann, her daughters, granddaughters and friends are proudly wearing her jewelry today.

Many of Mary Ann's young grandchildren received birthday cards from her over the years that were not age appropriate; these cards were laughed about for years and were a topic of discussion at holidays.

Mary Ann enjoyed winters in Arizona with Art, camping trips to Elk Lake, Billy's Bar, cutting her granddaughters' hair, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

Mary Ann is survived by her children Marcia Miller of Rosemount, MN; Kathy (LeRoy) Johnson of Dumont, MN; Tom (Heidi) Fridgen of Farwell, MN and Lisa (Jim) Derenburger of Loveland, CO; grandchildren: Jason (Sylvia) Miller, Ryan (Brianna) Miller, Kyle (Kristy) Miller, Tyler Miller, Amy (Chad) Klindworth, Amber (Mark) Grayson, Aaron (Shanna) Johnson, Josh (Kailey) Fridgen, Zach Fridgen (Elisia Drewelow), Colin Derenburger and Mason Derenburger; step-grandchildren: Stacy (Ken) Rosckes; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Gavin and Emma Miller; Ava and Connor Klindworth; Violet and Willow Grayson; Piper and Pryor Johnson; step-great-grandchildren: Nate and Gabe Rosckes; brother Mike (Jean) Krauth; sisters-in-law: Millie Krauth and Helen Lynch; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Art Fridgen; parents Jack and Rosella Krauth; her parents-in-law John and Ann (Bauer) Fridgen; brothers Ron and Vernon Krauth and sister-in-law Betty Krauth.

Mary Ann will be greatly missed as she joins Art in Heaven, and in her own words, "Base to 14, over. I'm Home."
