Mary Rowland

Funeral Mass for Mary Elizabeth Rowland, age 84, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Ave Maria Catholic Church in Wheaton with Fr. Joe Vandeberg Celebrant. Organist will be Cindy Sanasack. Pallbearers will be Trevor Waldeland, Travis Waldeland, Ryan Rowland, Nathan Rowland, Jason Rowland, Brandon Rowland, Chad Rowland and Cory Rowland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mary's siblings and their spouses and the Traverse Care Center residents and staff. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, rural Wheaton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday. Mary Elizabeth Stoick was born on March 25, 1928 in Bellingham, Minnesota to Ben and Helen Stoick. Mary was united in marriage to Edward Donald Rowland on December 16, 1946 in Beardsley, Minnesota. Mary did daycare out of her home and worked for Home Health Care for sixteen years. Her hobbies included: painting, gardening, fishing and taking a drive with Ed to see the wildlife, fields and to Lee's lake place. Mary passed away on September 18, 2012 at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton. Mary is survived by her husband Edward Rowland of Wheaton; six children: Dianne (Rick) Waldeland, of Burnsville, Minnesota; Gene (Colleen) Rowland of Carver, Minnesota; Dave (Caddy) Rowland of St. Paul, Minnesota; Tim Rowland (special friend Tricia Fischer) of Savage, Minnesota; Edward (Sandy) Rowland Jr. of Otsego, Minnesota and Lee Rowland (special friend Donna Kaufman of Wheaton, Minnesota; eight grandsons: Trevor (Pam) Waldeland, Travis (Dawn) Waldeland, Ryan Rowland (special friend Yuki), Nathan Rowland, Jason Rowland, Brandon Rowland (fiance Jenny), Chad (Angie) Rowland, Cory Rowland (special friend Erica; four great-granddaughters: Rena, Sara and Julieanne Waldeland and Patience Rowland; stepgrandchildren: Justice and Cherish; special grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Crista (Wiley) Post, Michelle Ulrich, Cameron Koch, Kyler and Jayla Post, Talan and Mason Ulrich; siblings: Evie Kurth, Maggie Frey, Irene (Duane) Whaley, Sammy (Gerry) Robek, Gertrude (Stan) Vikla, Marlys (Bruce) Just, John (Pat) Stoick, Elaine (Larry) Cable and Patricia Sell; sister-in-law Marge Stoick, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Andrew, brother James and sisters Josephine Lange and Margaret Perra.
