Funeral Service for Minnie Dorothy Bullock, age 98, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Monday, April 21, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, with Rev. Michael Breach officiating. Pallbearers will be "Grandchildren": Dennis DeBrobander, David DeBrobander, Travis DeBrobander, Karrie DeBrobander and Debbie DeBrobander-Enfield. Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Whaley, Mary Lou Block, Darel DeBrobander and Todd DeBrobander. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Minnie Dorothy Jacobsen was born August 11, 1915 in Traverse County, Minnesota to Martin and Anna (Thomsen) Jacobsen. Minnie attended country school until eighth grade when she stayed at home to help on the family farm. Minnie was united in marriage to Maurice DeBrobander on October 5, 1933 in Wheaton. To this union two sons were born, Ronald and Rodney. The couple made their home on a farm south of town. Minnie and her sister Hannah worked hanging wallpaper and painting in the area. Minnie also worked at the Wheaton Creamery in the poultry division, and later worked for the Wheaton Community Hospital for twelve years. Maurice passed away on January 9, 1967. Minnie was later united in marriage to Clifford A. Bullock on October 2, 1970 in Morris, Minnesota. Clifford passed away March 4, 1998. Minnie loved to play Bingo and was very lucky at it. She played a lot of cards with Anita Anderson her special friend and cousin. She loved to embroider dishcloths, feed squirrels, and go dancing and fishing. Minnie passed away on April 15, 2014 at the Countryside Inn Assisted Living Center in Rosholt, South Dakota. Minnie is survived by two sons: Ron (Elaine) DeBrobander of Fridley, Minnesota and Rod (Rita) DeBrobander of St. Louis Park, Minnesota; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law Richard DeBrobander. Minnie was preceded in death by husbands: Maurice DeBrobander and Clifford Bullock, her parents, five brothers and one sister.
