Nanno Bud Itzen of Wheaton, Minnesota, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007 at his residence in Tequesta, Florida. Bud was 78 years old. Funeral Services for Nanno Itzen will be held at 11:00 A.M. on January 7, 2008, at the First Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, Minnesota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bud was born August 22, 1929, in Herman, Minnesota. He graduated from Herman High School in 1947 and this past September, along with his classmates, celebrated his 60th class reunion. Upon graduating, Bud passionately pursued his lifelong career in farming. In 1951, Bud married Marian Muellenbach of Wheaton, and they were together 56 years. One of their highlights was celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2001 with their children and grandchildren at Windows on the World on top of the World Trade Center in New York City. Bud served on the Wheaton council for many years. He was also a certified flight instructor and enjoyed many hours of flying his Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Bud was also the Traverse County Agricultural Inspector for years. In Buds later years, he enjoyed wintering at his Jupiter, Florida, residence. Grandpa Bud especially appreciated his grandchildrens visits to his pool in Florida. Nanno is survived by his wife: Marian of Wheaton, Minnesota, son: Monty (Nancy) Itzen of Wheaton, Minnesota, two daughters: Colleen (Sam) Itzen de la Torre, & Rochelle (Scott) Itzen Singer both of New York City, New York, four grandchildren: Julie and Leo Singer, Bria Itzen & Rachel de la Torre. He is also survived by brothers: Donald Itzen of Austin, Texas, Henry Itzen of Brookings, Oregon, John Itzen of Levittown, Pennsylvania, and one sister: Elizabeth Reeverts of Safety Harbor, Florida. Nanno was preceded in death by his parents: Nanno and Agatha Itzen, brothers: George & Ronald Itzen, sisters: Dorothy Spaise, Bertha Spaise, Ellen Marushin & Rose Itzen.
