Funeral Service for Norma Alice Frounfelter, age 91, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Pastor Mickey Olson officiating. Organist will be Nancy Krenz. Pallbearers will be Tony Wolbersen, Troy Wolbersen, Ray Frounfelter, John Holtz, Mike Halvorson and Mark Schwagel. Honorary Pallbearers will be All of Normas special nieces and nephews, and the Wheaton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney-Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Monday morning, one hour prior to service time at the church. Norma Alice Klodt was born January 28, 1921 in Parnell Township to Frederick and Sophia (Swayze) Klodt. She attended rural school and after graduated from Browns Valley High School in 1940. She furthered her education at receiving her teaching certificate from Normal Training. She was united in marriage to Clark Frounfelter on September 3, 1943 in Wheaton. She taught school for a short time before staying at home to care for her children while her husband worked for Traverse County Highway Department. As her children grew, she worked as a waitress and a sales clerk in several Wheaton area businesses. Norma also worked in the Wheaton School system as a cook and aid. Clark passed away on June 10, 1973. Norma was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Wheaton serving as a deaconess. She was active in the Wheaton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Birthday Club and Womens Card Club. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cross word puzzles, board games, embroidery, quilting and card games. Norma was a wonderful letter writer never missing an opportunity to send her children and grandchildren birthday and holiday cards with a special note just for them. Norma always loved going for rides with family sometimes riding for up to an hour and a half, even while she was in her nineties. Norma passed away peacefully at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, Minnesota on May 30, 2012 with her family at her side. Norma is survived by five children: Gary (Lorraine) Frounfelter of Lewistown, Montana; Dale Frounfelter of Portland, Oregon; Barbara (Marvin) Wolbersen of Garfield, Minnesota; Arthur (Marlys) Frounfelter of Ortonville, Minnesota and Wayne (Caryl) Frounfelter of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother-in-law Harry Frounfelter of Wheaton, Minnesota; twenty grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Pat, brothers: Dale, Fred and Roy Klodt; and one sister, Doris Schwagel.
