Memorial Service for Patricia Bloom will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton, Minnesota. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Everyone is invited to lunch and fellowship at the American Legion following services. Patricia Bloom died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 3, 2009 in Great Falls, Montana. Patricia Jane Rhyne was born on August 7, 1936 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Rudolph and Jane (Rosdahl) Rhyne. Patty graduated from Wheaton High School in 1954. She attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and Minnesota State University in Moorhead where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education. Patty taught in Litchfield, Minnesota for two years before moving to Great Falls, Montana where she lived most of the rest of her life. She taught for many years in the Great Falls School District and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Northern Montana University in Havre. Patty's educational specialty was remedial reading and she took great pride in helping both children and adults learn to read. She was also a member to the First Presbyterian Church in Great Falls and various clubs including the Junior League. Patty married Donald Bloom in 1961. They divorced in 1985. Survivors include sons, David of Cascade, Montana and Stephen of Carbondale, Illinois, and brothers, John Rhyne of Los Angeles, California and Robert Rhyne of Frisco, Texas.
