Rhonda Jane Adams

Rhonda Jane Adams, age 64, of Wheaton, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on January 20, 2025, from a massive heart attack. She was born on November 15, 1960, in Wadena, MN, to Jane and Norman (Dean) Adams. Rhonda was the cherished first-born daughter in a family full of love. She grew up on a farm with horses, a lifelong passion. She shared a close bond with her four sisters: Renee Adams, Robin Dillon, Rachelle Kern, and Roxanne (David) Holst.

Rhonda graduated from Verndale High School in 1978. After high school, she married and became the proud mother of four children: Corey Ness, Casey Ness, Catey Ness, and Collin (Serena) Ness. Rhonda went on to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse, graduating from Minnesota State Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN. This was a milestone that brought great pride to her family. Later in life she devoted herself to raising her children on a mini horse farm in Perham where her love for her family, animals, and the outdoors flourished.

In addition to her work as a full-time nurse, Rhonda was a loving mother and grandmother, always there for her children and grandchildren. She treasured time spent camping with her family, and riding horses brought her great joy. She was also known to have trouble putting down a good book. Rhonda’s life was defined by her selflessness, laughter, and kindness. She touched everyone she met with her warmth, always ready with a smile or a laugh. Rhonda would give of herself to help others and was the protector of her loved ones.

Rhonda’s passing has left her family and friends in shock, and she will be deeply missed by all who know her. Rhonda’s love for her family and her compassionate spirit will remain forever in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.

Rhonda is survived by her mother, Jane Holt; her four children: Corey Ness, Casey Ness, Catey Ness, and Collin (Sabrena) Ness; seventeen grandchildren: Calista, Ashton, Braiden, Bryce, Destiny, Aubrie, Eli, Olivia, Addison, Ostyn, Grayson, Liam, Maliki, Decklyn, Valerie, Keira and Makenzie; two great-grandchildren; four sisters; and numerous extended family members.

Rhonda is preceded in death by her father, Norman (Dean) Adams; her grandson, Evan Robert; her niece, Samantha; both sets of grandparents; and many other beloved family members.

A Public Memorial Service will be held in honor of Rhonda’s life at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton, Minnesota on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow the service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the church. Her family asks for prayers and love during this difficult time.
