Robert Amundson

Funeral Services for Robert Jerry Bob Amundson will be held Saturday, September 1st at 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Herman, Minnesota with Rev. Carl Berner officiating. Pallbearers will be John Amundson, Dave Amundson, Monty Amundson, Rory Amundson, Dave Ortega, Zachary Ortega & Mitchell Ortega. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to service time at the church. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery, rural Herman, Minnesota. Robert Jerome Amundson was born December 7, 1938 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Robert and Merle (Marple) Amundson. Robert graduated from Morris High School in 1957. Robert then served four years in the United States Airforce. After his service, Robert worked in the family business as a tradesman his entire life. He married Harriet Hoffman on May 3, 1975. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and morning coffee. Robert passed away suddenly at his home on August 29, 2007. Jerry Bob is survived by his wife: Harriet, his father: RO Amundson of Wendell, Minnesota, seven children: Montgomery (Evelyn) Amundson of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Candace (David) Ortega of Bedford, Texas, Sandra (Mike) Jacobs of Midland, Texas, Heather Marshall of El Paso, Texas, John (Kristina) Amundson of Barrett, Minnesota, David Amundson of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota & Rory (Hope) Amundson of Clearwater, Minnesota, Eleven Grandchildren: Austin, Bethany, Casandra, Nicole, Zachary, Mitch, Anna, Nikki, Kaitlin, Addison & Tayden, 1 brother: Cal Amundson of Norcross, Minnesota, 2 sisters: Myrna (Jerry) Currier of Norcross, Minnesota & Fern (Ed) Arness of Leavenworth, Washington.
