It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Scott "Bob" McCalip, 63, who passed away on February 25, 2025.
Born on March 16, 1961, Bob spent his early years in Seattle, Washington. As a young adult, he embraced a life of adventure, traveling to places such as Hawaii and Alaska before eventually settling in Wheaton, Minnesota. It was there that he built a home and raised his children—a place he cherished deeply and where he created countless memories with family and friends.
Bob had a creative spirit and a passion for every endeavor he pursued. Whether it was gardening and yard work, cooking elaborate meals, or renovating his home, he poured his heart into everything he did. He took great joy in hosting gatherings, bringing people together over food and laughter. He will also be remembered for his love of music and all things Bob Dylan. His determination and strong will were defining traits that shaped both his life and the lives of those around him.
Above all else, Bob loved spending time with his children—Dylan, Taylor, Shae, Danielle, David, Carly, and Ashlyn—and his grandson Kruz. He was deeply invested in their success and took immense pride in their achievements. His father, Dallas, and sister, Sunnee, also remain to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandy, and sister, Tracy.
Bob’s legacy is one of resilience, creativity, and devotion to family. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at a later date in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton.
Memorials are preferred to the family and can be mailed to the funeral home.
