Funeral Service for Ronald Jossart, 77, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Thomas Olson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 15th from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer Service at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Ron was born in Benson, Minnesota on June 3rd, 1930 the son of Ralph and Esther (Johnson) Jossart. He was baptized on June 23, 1930 and confirmed into the Christian faith on May 20, 1945 at Six Mile Grove Lutheran Church. He grew up in Benson and graduated from Benson High School in 1949. He served in the Army National Guard from 1950 to 1952. After serving his country, he returned to Benson and worked at Frans Toggery. Ron married Peggy Pariseau on November 27, 1953. In October 1958, they purchased Lundstroms Clothing in Wheaton, Minnesota and renamed it Rons Clothing. In 1963, he purchased Maries Dress Shop in Wheaton and later began a partnership with C.H. Carpy and Ivy Bonrud of Elbow Lake, Minnesota. Ron renamed Maries Dress Shop, Bon Jos Womens Apparel. Ron was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota. He was a choir member and served on the church council and as President. He served on the Board of the Red River Valley Synod of ELCA. He was a member of the American Legion Post 80 and a Mason. Ron had a never ending passion for fishing and his cabin on Ten Mile Lake, and shared all of his passion for the outdoors with his four sons. He also enjoyed golfing and playing cards with friends. He loved to spend time with his family and adored his grandchildren. Ron passed away at SCCI Triumph Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota on August 12, 2007, after a long-term illness with Inclusion Body Myositis. Ron is survived by loving wife of 53 years, Peg of Wheaton; Children, Bob (Kim) Jossart of St. Michael, MN, Steve (Stephanie) Jossart of Seattle, WA, Mark (Tammy) Jossart of Maple Grove, MN, & Gregg (Theresa) Jossart of San Francisco, CA; Sister, Joyce Jossart of St. Paul, Minnesota; Brothers, Merle (Pat) Jossart of Buffalo, MN, Jim (Toni) Jossart of Bismarck, ND, & Curtis (Sarah) Jossart of Elgen, IL; 14 grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph (Shorty) and Esther Jossart. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
