Memorial Service for Ronald Chaput, 66, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Thomas Olson officiating. Organist will be LeAnn Bjornson with special music provided by Dennis Johnson. Private family interment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 30th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. The Ranney Funeral Home of Wheaton & Herman, Minnesota is in charge of arrangements. Ron Moore Chaput was born February 5, 1942 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Delmert and Loraine (Worner) Chaput. He attended elementary and high school in Hibbing, Minnesota. While in high school he enjoyed playing in a band with his childhood friends including the rock and roll hall of famer Bob Dylan. Ron married the love of his life, Elaine (Chaput) Lundquist on July 2, 1966. They lived in Hibbing for three years, then moved to Wheaton, Minnesota. He worked for different people including owning a business called Rons Tarp and Canvas Repair and Rons Shoe Repair. He also drove school bus for over thirty years and also drove truck for RAS Farms Inc. in Dumont, Minnesota. Ron had a son Michael in August of 1966 and a daughter Lori in November of 1978. Ron took great pride in both of his childrens endeavors of life. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, riding and traveling on motorcycle and always working on the many Hot rods he had through out the years. Where ever he went and whatever he was doing, he left and impression on people that we will all remember about him. Ron is survived by his wife: Elaine of Wheaton, mother: Loraine of Minneapolis, Minnesota, son: Michael Chaput of Wheaton, and daughter: Lori (Randy) Anderson of rural Fairmount, North Dakota, five grandchildren: Mara Joy Porter, Cameron Moore Porter, Tara Marie Porter, Bodie Robert Anderson & Natasha Elaine Anderson, and one great-grandson, Joseph S. B. Porter. Ron was preceded in death by his father: Delmert, sister: Sharon Worner and Mother and Father-in-laws: Wilton and Sylvia Lundquist.
